Luxe Summer Living

An Oklahoma summer invites us to take hands with sunny, warm energy so that our lives can be more easeful and pleasant. So we have collected a few tips and ideas to help all of us live more comfortably during the long days of summer.

1. “Try making Sun Tea. Children are fascinated by the sun’s power to change things and love to get involved in this process. Simply place 1 teabag (black, green, or herbal) per pint of water in a glass container, and leave outside in the sun to steep for an hour. Add sweetener and fresh mint, if you like.” – Cait Johnson with Care2.com

2. Spend your summer nights entertaining friends and family on the patio with fabulous outdoor decor that guests will enjoy during the warmer months of summer.

3. Enjoy live music, every Thursday, all summer long. Utica Square’s 2014 summer concert series serves up everything from jazz to rock to country. There’s something different every Thursday and best of all, it’s free! Pack a picnic or dine at one of our great restaurants as you unwind to your favorite local bands. Celebrate summer every Thursday at Utica Square from 7 – 9 PM.

4. Cool off this summer with yoga, meditation and breathing techniques. Visit Salt Yoga in Utica Square or South Tulsa where yoga is fun and accessible to everyone. For more information visit their website at www.saltyogatulsa.com

4. “Get your feet out of winter boots and ready for sandals with an invigorating orange-spice foot mask.” – Donna Garlough with WholeLiving.com
