With the kids going back to school soon and fall creeping around the corner, now is a great time to update throw pillows, couch cushions, rugs or window treatments with a more modern and clean look. Mixing patterns is a great way to show individual style and bring a fresh, quick makeover to any room. However, mixing patterns, fabrics, colors, etc. can be difficult and overwhelming. No worries, at Luxe Home Interiors we have fabulous interior designers who are always ready and willing to offer their complimentary services to you.

Meet Kim Calabrese, one of our many wonderful Luxe designers. When asked how to mix and match patterns she explains that, “A great way to mix and match patterns is by always having a bridge fabric. A bridge fabric is the anchor fabric that holds the balance through out the color story. This fabric also usually will hold the most detail and coloring within your grouping of fabrics. When grouping and matching a good guide is to remember to always have a stripe, solid, geometric and pattern fabric picked out. This will help guide you to creating a balanced look and will keep you from getting too redundant with your choices.”
